Thank you cousin Myrna for sending this info!

In celebration of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, the National Museum of African American History and Culture (which celebrated its groundbreaking this year) will host a FREE concert with George Clinton, Meshell Ndegeocello and Ivan Neville and Dumpstaphunk! Leave work early and catch the performance on the Mall between 12th and 14th street.

To get you in the mood I posted my 3 favorite performance clips from the featured artists.

Parliament Funkadelic – COSMIC SLOP

Meshell Ndegeocello – Outside Your Door (live at NSJF)

Dumpstaphunk – “Gas Man” From The Independent in San Francisco
